Our favorite reporting on Amazon’s choice for the location(s) of its second headquarters. Spoiler, NYC and Northern Virginia get the rose. Amazon ended the 14-month search, opting to split the new headquarters across two regions in order to reduce infrastructure strain. Each facility is expected to come in at 4 million square feet and house 25,000 employees. In the announcement, Nashville also gets thrown a bone in the form of an “Operations Center of Excellence,” creating 5,000 new jobs for the Music City.
